“Fruit of the Spirit” is a biblical term that sums up the nine visible attributes of a genuinely Christian life (Galatians 5:22-23). We learn from scripture that these are not individual “fruits” from which we pick and choose. Rather, the product of the Spirit is one ninefold “fruit” that characterises all who actually walk in the Holy Spirit. Collectively, these are the fruits that all Christians should be producing in their new lives with Jesus Christ. This submenu on Christian ethics harps on an age-long system of moral principle or rules of behaviour that identifies every child of God and sets them apart from the lust and wild desires of the world.

As you go on in life, you will notice that it seems some people have a magnet to know those that matter. Or they know those that know what is going on … ALWAYS. Looking at it at the surface level, it might seem like a natural gift or the person was born that way. …

Judges 11 introduces us to a Bible Character — Jephthah. I first heard about him as a man who made a vow to God, the vow went awry, but he went ahead to fulfil his vows. That is the story I was told in Sunday school as a child. I have not bothered about him …

The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity. Proverbs 11: 3 (NIV) Integrity is like the foundation of a great building. There is a lot of time and effort to ensure that everything is done correctly, otherwise, the building will collapse. Without real integrity in a person’s life, …

The book of Proverbs is one of my favourite books of the Bible. It consists of wisdom keys for every circumstance of life on a day to day basis. In Proverbs Chapter Six Verses Sixteen to Nineteen, seven things are listed as abominations before the Lord. This brings us to the question what an abomination …

Proverbs 15:4New International Version (NIV) 4 The soothing tongue is a tree of life, but a perverse tongue crushes the spirit.   The tongue is a muscular organ in the mouth. The tongue is vital for chewing and swallowing food, as well as for speech. Speech is primarily defined as the expression of or the ability to express thoughts and feelings …

Social media is a great place to be “the real you”. No inhibitions. Just be yourself. That sounds great and nice but it is not the whole truth. I am not saying that you should fake it or pretend but the same modicum of moderation that you exhibit in other facets of your life should …
